[ewolucyjnie_wyposażeni_w_mechanizmy_samo-zniszczenia]

Today is the day!, our new single [cluster_B] with Lucas [antigama/dante] drops, this is just the beginning for both of us. Lucas and Antigama for that instance according to their FaceBook page, planning an album for this year, yes, so if you like [cluster_B], you gonna love Antigama even more! I doubt you haven’t heard of them, if so, check them out! In the meantime please do enjoy our new single streaming on all major platforms!

Following up on our latest crushing grindcore/antimusic release with [antigama]’s Łukasz Myszkowski on vocals, we’re pleased to inform you that the wait is finally over. [cluster_B] is going live on 31st of May, you can pre-save it now. Track will be first released on all major streaming services so make sure you add it to your playlists. Bandcamp release will follow shortly.

spread the word!

You can pre-save it here

Some of you probably have noticed that I have taken down a few albums off the streaming services, times are changing, and finally I was able to upload all albums in the quality they were originally recorded. You can expect lossless quality at least, across all major platforms now. Of course, it wouldn’t make any sense if I just dump all my music simply in better quality, no way! All albums are now in special editions, containing released only on CD versions of the tracks, with additional ambient-noises I love so much, lyrics and if you’re the Apple Music user, I even synced lyrics (this may take a few weeks to appear though).

Also while I was preparing the entire back catalog for streaming, I came across an earlier version of aether, surprisingly different… in a good way, then I thought why not release it? it could be a great way to listen to [aether] again, however slightly from a different angle. Let’s face it, how often do we go back to our favorite albums hoping that we’ve missed something? Not sure what you guys think about this, but personally I think it’s a pretty damn sweet idea! [dark_aether] drops on 31.05.2022, following Bandcamp release later on.

BandCamp Fridays are back!

so it comes to this…

As previously mentioned 2022 is going to be a year of changes, first of all, you may or not have noticed that all [4672] albums have been taken down from the streaming services, at least for now. I have a plan to re-publish them later on, in Hi-res, but at this point, only the latest releases will remain live. Also [4672] Facebook page is gone, you can still send me messages via messenger, however, this stuff is going too, eventually. In terms of news and what is planned for the future, this website is going to be the only place to find it. The good news is Bandcamp will remain at least for now.

I know you may think this is crazy, however, Facebook #meta, made that choice for us a long time ago, turning its platform into business which immediately stopped working for us, at least not in a conventional matter and to be fair promoting my own stuff was never my strongest suit therefore once again I am leaving everything to the chance.

in terms of [4672], I think I have achieved more than I have ever expected, for this I am forever greatfull to all you out there and it would be foolish to think it can go further, plus that was never my goal. [4672] always had been an experimental project where I wanted to do things my way, away from restrictions, trends and things consider to be a standard practice. Therefore I came to the realisation that without a major change, this project will simply going to die out, and since I still very much so enjoy making music, things just have to change.

[concept]

Do you know what I like about planning? …nothing…absolutely nothing…and do you know why? because it doesn’t really matter, and here we are. A newborn experiment turned out to be so captivating I just couldn’t resist.

I’m not gonna bore you with details about how this colossus of a sound is being made, however, I can tell you that this is actually a song from start to finish. It has all the instruments, everything is recorded [4672] “a” standard way and yet it doesn’t sound like it. For years I’ve been trying to find a way to glitch my songs the way they would sound as sick as other stuff I make and there you go, 34 minutes long monster of a sound. If you can’t go through the whole colossus then please be patient, I’ve already prepared 5 mins version to which we’re planning to drop adequate video 😛

This is the first step towards an expansion I am planning. First of all, I’m coming back to one of my initial ideas, some of the new [4672] stuff will be instrumental only, the same as [noema], some may even appear in two versions. All those albums will be called [NH]. Also in the pipeline are, two new concepts, but about them later.

stay tuned!

All the best in the new year…..the year of [sick_studio]!

Thought you might be interested in how we’ve managed to pull this off…

Last Sunday, Dec. 5th we premiered our latest video [cluster_B]. As per usual this was a long-overdue, for some reason it always takes ages to do something exciting. The track itself was written almost two years ago and went through countless alterations before I even considered it good enough to share it with Lucas. It all started with a basic idea, we knew one thing, it needed to be worthy of a Track. We’ve always wanted to work with Lucas, and when the right opportunity came along, we immediately decided that [stop-motion] will be the best platform. Having previous #little experience with [stop-motion] and knowing the limitations of that method we’ve started writing.

Here’s the first video we made using stop-motion.

I’m not saying it was easy, scripts are always challenging, plus the reality and availability of various products required to simply do the job are not something easy to deal with. I think it is fair to say that we’ve started pre-production somewhere around April 2021. We had a basic script with a list of shots we’d like to make, however, we tend to leave room for improvisation which plays a huge part in our creating process especially for me when it comes to writing the music. This time wasn’t any different. We knew that in order to take this production to the next level we need to combine various methods of filming. Obviously wanting is one thing…

So, long story short we’ve decided that we’ll shoot [cluster_B] on green screen, and like this wouldn’t be enough we’ll try to amalgam it with the traditional way of making a video with stop-motion techniques.

We’ve split the ideas in half and took on the building of the model. I never tend to keep a record of what I do, I get so immersed into the creation process, I instantly forget about surroundings and the fact it would be cool to show later how the stuff was made. Luckily Przemek aka “J-sick” Trzaskowski keeps a record of some of the scenes and builds he makes. Below I’ve gathered a few time-lapses from the build we’d like to share with you. I hope you’ll find this equally exciting and inspiring.

Thanks for being here with us and feel free to share this story, if you have any comments or questions you know you can always write to us, we may not answer straight away but we definitely will asap.

and here’s the final product in case you haven’t seen it yet…

in case you wondering when this will hit streaming platforms or will it ever make it to CD, then the answer is “possibly”, “that’s the plan”, “maybe”

sorry, I can’t give you any concrete details, we simply don’t know it yet. The plan is always the same, look for a publisher – when failed, publish it yourself heheh, anyway be patient with us and enjoy the new stuff!

Thanks for the support [4672] / SickStudio

This year, roughly around July – August, we’ll mark a decade since [4672] has been published, 11 years altogether or so… Honestly I can’t believe it has been that long, it feels like yesterday or at least like couple of years ago, but 10 years? nah hehe….

Anyway, to celebrate our anniversary we’ve got few things planned, for some you’ll have to wait a lil bit, other should be with you shortly.

In case you’ve missed it, we have a new video. Two years in planning including song writing and researching. I have to say it wasn’t easy, but I think everything came together nicely. Video is packed with a bunch of easter eggs including reference to Rorschach character from DC universe as the only character I appreciate from DC hehehe, #being proper Marvel fan. Actually, this is my hidden reference to Hermann Rorschach and his test, which inspired me to do series of images “When Left becomes Right” all you can find on my instagram profile, also since Marcin “Mały” Brzeźnicki is a big fan of DC, we thought this would become a fine addition to the whole concept.

The Concept

Our Video is based on actual 1996′ chess match between Grand Master Garry Kasparov and Deep Blue chess computer considered as first AI in the modern history to win in the game of chess. Deep Blue’s win was seen as symbolically significant, a sign that artificial intelligence was catching up to human intelligence and could defeat one of humanity’s great intellectual champions. In our interpretation of this game AI is played by the mask which flashes with holographic images of greatest minds such as Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, Nikola Tesla, Stephen Hawking, Michael Faraday, Carl Sagan, Aldous Huxley, Philip K. Dick, Albert Hofmann, Sigmunt Freud and many many more, all mashed up together. It has been 25 years since February the 10th, 1996′, the day we’ve understood that one day our creation may become something far greater than us, therefore we thought it would be a good idea to celebrate this event in anticipation for SKYNET to blow us to kingdom come.

The Lyrics

Coincidentally, the idea for the lyrics came from Marcin himself, just like all lyrics on the [split]. Marcin wanted to reflect on the ironic competition interaction and zero-one laws we’re all bound by. In this case I only suggested the title change, since [zero-sum game] fitted perfectly the concept I had in mind for a game of chess that J-sick since forever wanted to shoot.

The Epigraph

Quite often we decide to include some opening lines that reflect on general concept of either album or video, however this time we decided to refer to the next track that we’d like to shoot the video for as well as the [zero-sum game]. Not giving away too much the next track will be called: [post futuristic act of cosmogenesis].

Below I attached few pics from shooting plan courtesy of J-Sick and Marcin’s Lyrics plus all the text from the video.

Sometimes people don’t want to hear the truth because they don’t want their illusions destroyed.

~Friedrich Nietzsche

Zero-sum game
In game theory and economic theory, a zero-sum game is a mathematical representation of a situation in which
each participant’s gain or loss of utility is exactly balanced by the losses or gains of the utility of the other participants. If the total gains of the participants are added up and the total losses are subtracted, they will sum to zero.

On February 10, 1996, after three hours, world chess champion Garry Kasparov loses the first game of a six-game match against Deep Blue, an IBM computer capable of evaluating 200 million moves per second.

Deep Blue’s win was seen as symbolically significant, a sign that artificial intelligence was catching up to human intelligence and could defeat one of humanity’s great intellectual champions.

[zero-sum game]

Lyrics by: Marcin “Mały” Brzeźnicki

indoctrination seeks to justify destruction
reset it all and kill
no more, reset it all
wash away filthy human kind

blessed be the strength of earthly nature
blessed be the power of untapped human mind

the balance must be maintained even at the price of human kind
the balance must be maintained even at the price of genocide

lost all rights
gain or die
lost in a zero sum game

zero sum game

humanity has passed a death sentence on itself
blessed be the one and only the circle of life

one with the tide
one with cleansing
one with the fury
one with life

ten plagues were not enough

the sign was not understood
